York Gate is a one-acre garden tucked away behind the ancient church in Adel, on the southern outskirts of Leeds. Created by the Spencer family during the second half of the twentieth century, it is a garden of immense style and craftmanship, widely recognised as one of the most innovative small gardens of its period.
We were first approached in 2003 by a representative of the Perennial - Gardeners' Royal Benevolent Society with the request to give a fresh look to all their printed media, and have redesigned their leaflets every year since.
